Research shows 21% of Melburnians would consider moving to the country if conditions were right. On this basis Regional Development Victoria has allocated $2.85 million over three years to a marketing campaign aimed at attracting people to live, work and invest in Provincial Victoria. The campaign is managed by Regional Development Victoria, in conjunction with a Steering Group comprised of representatives of provincial councils, development bodies and Tourism.
Karen Moore of Warrnambool marketing agency adz@work, who won the Public relations tender for the campaign, is running a marketing exercise with a difference. She says she has met some amazing women in the country who have basically taken their career with them so she is now establishing a registry that will identify Victoria’s most powerful provincial women. Many have already been nominated but it is not too late to add to the list. Email karen@adzatwork.com.au
