An NT cattle station seeks holistically minded couple/family/person

Clair O’Brien, a PWF reader from NT, wants to get in touch with some of the great people out there looking for an opening to ‘have a go’ in 2006.

WHAT’S THE OFFER?
A portion of an NT Cattle Station – available to the right person – to run their own cattle in exchange for assistance in general running of the remainder of the property.

SOME DETAILS:
1)use of a 2 bedroom house;
2)reasonably close to major towns and services;
3)desirable: Holistic Management training and philosophy plus Low Stress Stock Handling;
4)currently a family run operation wishing to consolidate and work towards a holistic goal;

Clair is a community-minded person, actively involved with the Australian Women in Agriculture(AWIA) organisation and is working towards opening a ‘Station Stay’ on the property in 2006. She still has a few jobs to finish though – milling the native ironwood (salvaged from land clearing for mangoes and the like) and getting the decking finished as well as the lawn / landscaping….at the moment she says they are just a ‘dot’ and a phone number in a local Mataranka brochure!
