“Different but the same – all Victorian”

‘Celebrate our Cultural Diversity Week’ 17-23 March, coincides with the Commonwealth Games this year. It gives Victorian community groups, local councils and schools a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate the state’s rich cultural diversity to the world as multicultural communities across Victoria showcase their culture for the community as a whole to enjoy.

The theme ‘Different but the same – all Victorian’ acknowledges the many languages, the different faiths, the practices of a myriad cultures and that this diversity can strengthen and unite.

Orange is the promotional colour used as it is recognised as a symbol of respect for diversity and support for community harmony.
