Queensland’s outback came to Brisbane in late February for the inaugural Outback Week – a series of outback festivities to highlight holiday opportunities in the region. The program kicked off with an Outback Fair at South Bank’s Piazza, followed by Queensland Rail’s Holiday Expo, shopping centre promos and several travel trade educational programs through the week.

Tourism Queensland is developing Australia’s first website specifically targeting the study tour and school excursion segment in Japan and Asia and is calling for product listings. Deadline for listings is Friday, 17 March, which are free to Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) subscribers.

To encourage more Europeans people to visit on a working holiday visa, TQ Europe and the Destination Australian Partnership have developed a flyer which will be distributed to business and engineering schools and via the Australian Embassy in Paris.
