Coordinator – Breakaway
Coordinating community access activities. Permanent Part time. Enjoy the experiences of working alongside people with a disability in coordinating exciting individualised lifestyle choices and programs. Breakaway is a community respite house providing overnight respite for people with a disability living in the Caboolture, Redcliffe and Pine Rivers Shires. We have been expanding our supports and now provide a post school lifestyle program for 8 young adults with a disability. The Post School Program Coordinator’s responsibilities include: * organising community based activities for individuals; * supporting and managing staff; * conversing with families and individuals in the planning of individual programs; * being involved in the development and continuous improvement of the program including ongoing and frequent evaluation of activities and individual needs; * having a commitment to the philosophy and values of Breakaway and the development of quality standards of service delivery; * monitoring and mentoring of staff. Employment if on a permanent Part time basis of 25 hrs p/w with a view to increase as the program expands. Cert 3 in community services disability studies required. Cert 4 in workplace Assessment and Training desirable (or willing to obtain). Must have Criminal history check, suitability card and own vehicle. SACS level 5 applies.
