Arts Queensland, part of the Department of Education, Training and the Arts, is the Queensland Government’s strategic governance organisation for the arts in Queensland. It seeks to work with its partners to create a cultural environment that maximises quality of life, social equity and economic independence in Queensland. This position is responsible for implementing best practice public sector processes to support Arts Queensland’s corporate planning and reporting requirements and to co-ordinate and implement Arts Queensland’s research program relating to development of the arts and cultural sector. Duties include:
• Coordinating corporate planning and reporting responsibilities such as the Ministerial Portfolio Statement, Annual Report and Priorities in Progress through the implementation of frameworks, systems and quality assurance processes;
• Developing effective key performance indicators and performance measurement capability within the arts and cultural strategy of Arts Queensland;
• Leading and coordinating the development and implementation of an operational planning framework for Arts Queensland including the evaluation of outcomes against the planning framework.
• Assessing corporate business reporting and research initiatives at state, national and international levels that have implications for the delivery of arts and cultural services.
• Leading and participating in complex research and analysis tasks to inform and develop the delivery of arts and cultural services.
Travel and overnight absences from base will be required of this position and there is a requirement to attend exhibitions, art functions, performances, conferences, seminars, meetings and events as a representative of Arts Queensland in the evenings / weekends.
