This event has been recommended by several people as something that sounds quite extraordinary…a very worthwhile way to spend Remembrance Day. If you’re free Sunday week and in Melbourne, think about it…
“…if you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.” Henry David Thoreau, Walden 1854.
A Sense Of Purpose And Meaning In Our Lives
This conference is an initiative of the Healing Relationships Institute. It will bring together a group of people with diverse views on how to foster and maintain a sense of meaning in an increasingly complex world.
Speakers will address fundamental questions about the need for a sense of purpose and meaning in our lives.
Equally relevant is a capacity to stay on firm ground amidst the pressing social, environmental and emotional challenges of our time.
Aspirations for a meaningful life may seem elusive when we are faced with busy day-to-day activities. How do we achieve and maintain balance between the different aspects of our lives?
This event is for those who want to engage with high profile Australians in how they have created meaning in their personal and professional lives.
Listen to their stories and what they have learned from their successes and failures. Hear about new ideas and beginnings that flourished in society.
Learn how they did all this while engaging with family, work and community. Delegates are invited to participate and be part of this conversation throughout the day.
A group of creative and reflective people will present the one-day program. These people are known for their contributions to business, philanthropy, public health, human rights, philosophy, communications and the media, and the environment.
