October 1, 2008‘Learning Together’ is a conference for teachers and principals presented by ANTaR Victoria and Reconciliation Victoria. It is an effort to provide support in the teaching of Indigenous studies.
The Victorian Government has recently announced their Wannik Education Strategy, a new education strategy for Koorie students, in an attempt to improve the quality of education for Koorie students.
Day 1 at the Conference will be a platform where key ideas from Wannik can be addressed and teachers and principals are provided appropriate resources.
Day 2 at the Conference will help local councils and reconciliation groups to recognise, respect and celebrate Koorie culture.
Conference Details
When: Friday 17 October 2008, 9am to 3.30pm.
Where: Aborigines Advancement League, 2 Watt Street, Thornbury.
Cost: $99 for one participant, $150 for two, $200 for three.
