LIVE is an acronym for Locals Into Victoria’s Environment. This new community organisation is independent, non-partisan and non-profit, based in Melbourne’s City of Port Phillip.
Several hundred LIVE Victorians want to address the detrimental human impacts on the planet. They believe local grassroots action CAN make a difference.
Author (and LIVE campaigner) Angela Crocombe will be giving a talk on Ethical Eating: How to make food choices that won’t cost the earth at 10am this Saturday, 20 February, in the Feast Tent, Fed Square, at the Sustainable Living Festival, 19-21 February.
LIVE applies polite pressure to all levels of government and industry to demand that meaningful, effective measures be taken immediately to ensure that all environmental costs are accounted for and that Victoria’s unacceptable greenhouse gas emissions, a major contributor to climate change, are reduced starting now.
LIVE supports and works with leading environmental groups and other community based climate change action groups working for a future that is healthy and best for all.
