The greatest aspect of a sutainable home is that you can afford to buy it, and you can afford to keep it. The one thing we have in Australia, on transport, and near Capital City work centres, is “land” , and an affordable house, for a newly married couple should cost them no more than $60,000 furnished and including this land and with title. In Nepal a house, a home, is not a saleable commodity but that is not the case here in Australia. Profit hungry developers and real estate persons have driven the true $60,000 cost beyond the pale and to ridiculous levels. Where is the Community controlled and designed and developed sustainable (affordable)projects in Australia ???????
