Dugald Fisher is interested in becoming a Grey Nomad. He writes saying:

“I’m approaching 75 and am retired on a north coast farm and widowed for 2 years. I’ve just had a check up and I’m happy to say that everything is 100%, ie, PSA 0.67, cholesterol 4.8, blood pressure 110 over 70. etc and don’t take pills of any sort. I have included all this as people can be very wary of 75 year olds. I row competitively and coach rowing as well.

I spent most of my working life in the bush and have all the bush skills after owning a sheep/cattle station in the western division and after building my own home from mud brick on the farm I’m looking forward to lots of outback travel next year after taking my daughter to the Greek Islands for a holiday. I have a well equipped 4 wheel drive and I’m of independent means and a travelling companion would be welcome.

I admit to being selfish in that I nursed my ailing wife for a considerable time before she died and I would not want anyone who was not in the best of health or had family problems, consequently they will probably be younger than I. If anyone were interested it would be 6 months before I would want to leave for Alice Springs -Broome etc so there would be heaps of time to get acquainted beforehand.

Anyone interested is welcome to email me dugald@activ8.net.au.

Cheers
Dugald”

Enjoy your planning Dugald, AND your trip!
