Gallery Sunshine Everywhere is a NonProfit that links schools, families, business and the broader community with young artists. At least five exhibitions are curated every year, with no costs to families or schools, and the young artists are mentored. Grants and sponsorship are always welcome.
Director Maureen Ryan says:
“If you spent even a tiny bit of time over the last few days checking out the dresses at that wedding or even if you didn’t, you’ll love the current exhibition by Zeynep Cakir at the Granary Cafe (invitation attached): just beautiful.
Where there was lace, there’s paper, cardboard, acrylic and more ….”
When Zeynep was in Year 12 at Sunshine College in Melbourne’s west, she was part of the first Gallery Sunshine exhibition in 2007. She is now in fourth year Architecture.
There’ll be a celebration of Zeynep’s work from 6pm on Friday 27 May, a live music night, at the Granary, 2 Devonshire Road Sunshine.

There is an online Art Gallery and the Gallery is happy to discuss exhibiting this work in other places, after consultation with artists, families and schools, eg several pieces have been selected for inclusion in the local Brimbank Council publications.
At the end of the year the Gallery produces a set of cards featuring examples of work exhibited during the year, with 80% of funds from card sales being returned to schools. Click here to see information about 2008 and 2009 cards.
