The Warrandyte Co-Op – whose 25 members can order organic fruit and veg online from Organic Origins – began mid 2011. Liane and Josh started the co-op to make the organics that they supply to retailers across Melbourne affordable for those who are prepared to pack once a month and collect the own orders.
This is actually quite a minimal effort when you compare it with other co-ops, as all the other logistics are handled by Liane and Josh. The whole concept is a little more community focused and Liane suspects the social aspect is probably quite important.
