Arrange Local Pet Home Stay Online – By Post Code

There is now a website where petowners can find each other in their local area and organise reciprocal petsitting. I have just read about this in my local Leader paper, thought ‘Wow!’ and then wondered how it worked..never dreaming it could be Australia/New Zealand-wide! It is.

How It Works

Go to www.pethomestay.com

• Register under your postcode with a short description of you, your likes, possibly your pet’s nature, where you exercise your pet etc, any requirements you may have, such as dog/cat/guinea pig..large or small!
• Register your pet to let the PetHomeStay community know about it’s size, weight, breed and ‘quirks’.
• State whether your dogsitting service is a swap arrangement, or if not, how much you would charge per night. The standard rate is $20 per night.

You contact likely sitters through the website and after the stay give feedback – also through the website.
