‘The Mens’ Shed’ Now Online…

Mens’ Sheds aren’t as ubiquitous as Community/Neighbourhood Houses – largely a female domain – but they certainly fill a need. There are 400 Men’s Sheds around the country and some 30,000 men involved in these sheds.

Thanks to a collaborative effort between Beyond Blue, the Movember Foundation and the Australian Men’s Shed Association, ‘The Men’s Shed’ now has an internet ‘face’, The Shed Online.

What Will The Shed Online DO?

Like the real world Men’s Sheds, The Shed Online will provide a social community for men where they can feel confident to socialise, network, make friends and share skills.

The online version will provide info on men’s health and well-being plus discussion groups and an events calendar right around Australia….all in the spirit of ‘old-fashioned mateship’.
