Social Traders and the Melbourne Business School’s Asia Pacific Leadership Centre will host a one day forum aiming to bring together people who manage and invest in social enterprises and anyone who is interested in learning about or helping in this area.
1. Address by Assoc. Prof. Ana Maria Peredo. Ana Maria is one of Canada’s leading figures on the social economy – a pioneer in community-based entrepreneurship, sustainable development and the alleviation of poverty. She will speak on her work and lead a discussion.
2. Tour of Social Traders Support Services and Resources. This tour will be led by people who have used the services and Social Traders’ Learning and Development Manager, Mark Daniels, will give updates on new services.
3. Address by Dr Jeffrey Robinson – Rutgers University, co-editor of the critically acclaimed research volume ‘Social Entrepreneurship’ and a man committed to the development of social ventures both as an academic and a social practitioner.
4. Social Enterprise Form and Function. An interview and discussion with three leaders of very different Australian social enterprises.
