June 17, 2011Sarah has heard about PWF’s Grey Nomad info exchange and she tells us there are two positions available for a couple on a central west Queensland cattle station.
About Work Available On The Station
The two positions available for a couple involve:
1. Handyman/garden maintenance
2. Household/kitchen duties
There are five acres of gardens and lawns and the work includes:
- watering
- use of machinery – tractor, bobcat etc
- garden equipment – mower, wipper snipper, hedger, chainsaw etc
The inside position involves food preparation and cooking for up to 10 people, cleaning and maintaining households and various buildings etc.
Some other station jobs available – grader, water runs, driving etc depending on applicants’ experience.
Other young staff on the station: governess, jackaroos etc.
