Want To Contribute To A Blueprint For Australian Agriculture?

Twitter has just led me to the Blueprint for Australian Agriculture which aims to bring together all those with an interest in, or involvement with, agriculture to help shape its future direction – farmers, transporters, retailers, consultants, rural businesses, agribusinesses, educators, governments, rural communities, community groups and consumers – ‘if you eat, you’re a partner in farming’. Everyone is welcome to contribute.

An Initiative Of The NFF, Westpac And Woolies

You are invited to have your say on the issues and challenges facing the agricultural sector and its supply chain now and in the future, and your thoughts on the opportunities and solutions to achieving a strong and sustainable future.

Once developed the Blueprint will map out where the industry wants to go and how it is going to get there.

How To Get Involved

Time is short now…you’ve got till Friday 13 July.

You can:

* Fill in the online survey… where you can tell us the issues, challenges, opportunities and risks you see facing agriculture and the supply chain now and in the future.

* Attend a free Blueprint forum in your state or territory… to discuss your ideas and issues with other people involved in agriculture and the supply chain. Hosted by the NFF, Westpac and Woolworths, these forums will give you the opportunity to hear from industry leaders and share your vision for the future of the sector.

Forums took place in every state and territory between March and May 2012.

The final Blueprint forum is scheduled for Tasmania: taking place on Thursday 12 July at the Launceston Country Club, as part of the Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) conference. To register to attend this forum, please click here.

* Talk to your local NFF member… the 24 member organisations of the NFF are helping us find out what you believe the key issues, challenges and opportunities are for the sector in the future.
