Environment ambassadors will have the capacity to speak up and bring change on environmental issues in the community and in the workplace. There will be training programs at CERES Community Environment Park, Brunswick East, subsidised by the Myer Foundation so it will cost only $33 per person.

WHO CAN JOIN THE PROGRAM?
Environment Ambassadors come from all walks of life. Recent participants include: environment officers, small business owners, scientists, teachers, office-workers, concerned residents, chief executives, political campaigners and students.
If you’re already active on an issue but wish to be more effective, or if you’re looking to take the first step as an advocate but aren’t sure where to start, this training program will be a good way to build your skills and confidence.
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM INVOLVE?
Over 2 days you will work closely with like-minded people learning and directly applying skills such as:
-advocacy
-public speaking
-managing media interviews
-creating effective events
-negotiation
-strategy development
-building community support
-persuading decisionmakers
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE PROGRAM?
You will be connected to the growing community of Environment Ambassadors, providing support for your work as well as opportunities for skill development such as workshops and conferences.
