February 3, 2016This morning we hear that OUR Government – on OUR behalf – is transferring 72 asylum seeker kids back to Nauru, despite so many recent reports stating that the conditions there do not meet basic human rights standards.
It is just on 12 months since 202 Australian organisations and community groups signed a joint statement to end child detention.
SHAME, SHAME, SHAME on Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten who can’t stop politicking long enough to work out a solution for these children and MAYBE stop the development of a future terrorist or a future drain on our mental health system.
NB I find it apalling that I feel obliged to put this situation into a ‘me first’ scenario!

A Question To Fellow Australians: Do you really condone this behaviour of our politicians? Have we really become so selfish and uncaring we can allow our pollies to act like this on our behalf?
I did think that Australian politics had improved uner Malcolm Turnbull’s leadership, but if he can’t approach Bill Shorten to nobble the politicking about this situation, and show he’s not just an Abbott stand-in, mine will be a donkey vote at this year’s election.
I am truly DISGUSTED at the state of politics in this country!
