Over 120 tourism industry representatives – including wine and food producers and those interested in drive and event tourism – from across SE Queensland met in Toowoomba for an inaugural country tourism conference. The November 11 one-day conference was a forum for local organisations from Toowoomba, Southern Downs, South Burnett and the Sunshine Coast.
Delegates heard from a variety of speakers from around the country, including wine festival expert Barbara Storey, Queensland food consultant and radio personality Alison Alexander and Geelong Otway Tourism Executive Director Roger Grant, who shared his expertise on the management and marketing of Victoria’s Great Southern Tourism Route.
