December 15, 2005SASSIC – Services, Assistance, Skills, Swap, Incentive & Community – is a new grassroots local community group online set up just recently at http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/sassic/
It is a place to advertise a need or to offer assistance to someone in need for FREE. The service, or offer, must be on a barter or free basis. Services, skills, swap, barter, advice, assistance can be traded, swapped or bartered – no money changes hands through the site as the intitiative is a simple community service provision.
Set up by ‘Traceyangel’ of CONRA (a group that provides counselling and support and materail goods to anyone who is the child – youth or adult – of an alcoholic parent, or, who has lifelong disabilities), Tracey found that the morning after she set up the new group she had almost a dozen members!
