YOUTH SUPPORT COORDINATOR (YSC) *
(38 Hrs at Eight Miles Plains) Relationships Australia. The YSC will be employed to provide a range of services and assistance to young people and their families to ensure the continued engagement of young people in schools and training institutions. Activities will include counselling students, appropriate referral to other community service providers and assisting the Education and Training Reforms for the Future Management Committee to meet the priorities established in the District Youth Achievement Plan. The YSC will also engage in community development activities such as developing youth forums to engage in planning and decision making processes in the Mt Gravatt region. Particular emphasis willbe given to working with Indigenous and CALD communities so we encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and individuals who identify themselves as coming from a CALD community. Applicants must hold a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification (e.g. Education, Social Science, Social Work, Community Development, Counselling, etc.). Experience working with youth, combined with the ability to work across systems including community sector, schools, government agencies and community is essential. Hours of work: 38 hours per week and a commencing salary of $45,055 plus superannuation. Salary packaging, including the private use of work car is available.
