Experience in the not for profit sector and a demonstrated understanding of DONMAN fundraising software will be well regarded, as will tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or public relations. A solid background in attracting major donors is essential.

The Cancer Council Victoria (a non-government charity) is seeking a full-time Project Assistant for one of its fundraising teams, coordinating three well-recognised events – Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Girls Night In and Pink Ribbon Day.
The Project Assistant will form part of the Victorian event team responsible for ensuring that these events achieve the overall objectives set at a state and national level. The Project Assistant will focus on event administration, past participant outbound call strategy, and event logistics.
The preferred applicant will have degree qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent knowledge gained from relevant experience. The position requires an enthusiastic individual with excellent computer and customer service skills, who is highly adaptable, well organised and has the ability to remain calm under pressure. A background in the events industry or logistics would be an advantage.
This is a full-time continuing position with a Total Equivalent Package Value within the range of $35,420 – $39,350 pa (includes base salary, superannuation, annual leave loading and maximum additional benefit of salary packaging).

They are a leading provider of humanitarian training in the region, both for register members and people interested in preparing themselves for work in the aid industry. They seek applicants with proven skills in people management and training preparation and delivery plus extensive practical experience in humanitarian assistance and emergency work.
