A $25 fuel card and local attractions discount vouchers will be offered to people who book a South Australian ‘Shorts’ holiday between Sunday and Thursday from 16 October to 16 December 2005. These holiday choices range from B & B stays in the Adelaide Hills to beach getaways on the Yorke Peninsula.
In Rutherglen, Victoria’s NE wine region, winemakers and the Indigo Shire Council are offering free petrol to motorists who live more than 150KM from Rutherglen, and who stay two consecutive nights in Rutherglen accommodation listed in the Visitor’s Guide. Their accommodation receipt will entitle them to a $25 fuel voucher, redeemable at any of the three Rutherglen fuel outlets. The offer is valid for all bookings made for the month of October.
In Queensland the State Government is offering an 8.3 cent a litre fuel subsidy and Tourism Queensland is already using this in its advertising campaigns to attract interstate tourists. Tourism and Small Business Minister Fran Bailey wants other states to follow this lead!
