The Country Victoria Events Program (CVEP) is a financial and support program run by the Tourism Alliance Victoria. It aims to help regional Victoria develop events capable of creating significant economic and social benefits. A range of templates to help develop marketing plans, media releases, budgets and visitor research programs to help event organisers is available from www.tourismalliance.com.au.
For 2006 there are two funding rounds, closing on 1 April and 1 October, which provide up to $10,000 per event on a dollar per dollar basis.
FUNDING IS FOR:
1)Marketing and promotion outside the local area of the event and/or visitor/market research.
2)Development of an event program/business strategy and/or feasibility study relating to an existing or planned event where it is crucial for long term growth.
