Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Council are seeking a progressive and energetic individual to join the executive services team to provide human resource management to Council’s 76 strong workforce. Key responsibilities of the role include managing human resources systems to ensure Council meets its legal responsibilities with industrial relations matters, Occupational Health and Safety and workers compensation rehabilitation and claims management. The position will also be responsible for risk management within the Council, and linking these functions into Council’s Strategic Planning and policy development processes. Council requires a driven and outcome focussed person with well developed and proven negotiation, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with staff. Relevant experience in the human resources field that includes occupational health and safety is essential with tertiary qualifications being desirable.
