‘Creativity takes courage’ (Henri Matisse 1869-1954) is the welcome to the Pink Lady Art Exhibition and Charity Event website. TRUE! The inaugural event was held in October 2007 in the Melbourne’s bayside Brighton. $19,000 was raised for the Breast Cancer Network Australia and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

In 2008, building on the 2007 success, this wonderful community event will run over two days. There has been strong support from sponsors and donors and organisers are looking forward to a bigger and better event in 2008, and have set a goal of $50,000.

Some Background – Three Friends And A Pink Lady

Rachel West and Lisa Sewards know first hand of the impact of being diagnosed with breast cancer. Both are survivors of the disease and they have joined forces with Emma Callil to give back and help raise awareness and give hope for the future to find a cure.

The Book – My Mother Has Cancer
