The Energy Matters Community Initiative for solar power supporters across Australia has just a few days to collect final signatures before being submitted.
16,545 signatures have been collected for a national gross feed in tariff via the petition at www.feedintariff.com.au/.
Energy Matters says:
“This week has seen many sweeping changes to the solar power industry in Australia, in particular the unexpected early launch of the Solar Credits program, where most Australian home owners and businesses can now get access to rebates.
However, the rebate is less than under the previous program and this underlines an even greater need for the additional boost of a national gross feed in tariff scheme.
One last chance – Petition to be submitted next week!
The petition will be submitted to Greens Senator Christine Milne next week who will then table the results in Parliament. That means we have only a couple of days to collect signatures. Australians want to be part of the solution when it comes to climate change. The more signatures we have, the more effective this message will be.
Do you know of anyone who hasn’t signed the petition as yet? Please let them know about the petition as soon as possible by forwarding this email.
If you haven’t yet confirmed your signature, now is the time to do so. An email would have been sent to you with a confirmation link. Only confirmed signatures will be included in the final submission and you want yours to count.
Thank you again for your continued support in this critical area of policy. We are greatly encouraged that so many Australians have lent their voices to this call for a better, more liveable world.
The Feed In Tariff Team”
