Admin Bandit, developed for community organisations has won heaps of accolades, as has its developer, entrepreneur and Canberra mother of two, Nerida Gill, who is passionate about making that ‘hard to fill job’ of treasurer easier and so supporting hardworking community groups.
Admin Bandit was named number one software product for the community sector at the prestigious iAwards of the Australian Information Industry Association last Wednesday 27 May, 2009.
Admin Bandit is an accounting software program originally created for volunteer treasurers in ACT preschools that has been developed as an online program for the volunteer sector in Australia.
There is no need to install software on your computer or risk having your data lost when your computer crashes. You just need a broadband connection and a browser (IE6, IE7, Safari, Firefox).
The software recently received an Innovation Acceleration grant from the Business and Industry Development area of the ACT Government, which allowed Nerida to to complete the development of the program for its release onto the Australian market in February 2009.

Finally an accounting programme that focuses on Community organisations! I am VERY impressed with its ease of use. It has saved me so much time and almost makes book keeping a pleasure! I also appreciate the support and advice offered by the team.

I was worried about how I would manage with the accounting aspects of the preschool treasurer job, but admin bandit has made it so simple. It is a great program and support is good too.
Due to some irregular circumstances I took on our preschool’s treasurer position half way thru the year and consequently had almost 6 months of transactions to reconstruct. Admin Bandit has made that task so straightforward and clear and makes me look terrific in committee meetings! Thank-you Nerida!
