The Backpackers & Adventure Travel Expo, Exhibition Building Carlton, February 25-27 is currently listed in venues.com.au ‘enews’. At the Expo you can find out where to go, how to get there, what to do, where to stay, plus all about working holidays both here and overseas. You can also sit in on travel talks by people who’ve done it all. Tickets $5.

A listing in venues.com.au’s free ‘enews’ reaches over 3,000 people. The website is a well-recognised online resource for organising events. It offers a wide range of venues, events related services and product suppliers for conferences, functions, launches, performing arts events etc. There is instant exposure to thousands of event organisers in commerce, the tertiary sector, government, tourism events etc via the website and enews.

Although the company deals mostly with the corporate sector, as this is where the money is, says Marketing Manager Margaret Michaels, if community organisations get advice about an event to them by end of business Friday they will publish this in ‘What’s on’ in the Monday edition of enews.

Interestingly Margaret notes that the younger generation she is working with is increasingly showing a ‘social conscience’.
