Grey Nomad Wanting Station Work: Darwin – Port Augusta

Rita Gaul is interested in working on a Cattle station between Darwin and Port Augusta over the next two months – September and October – though this could stretch to mid November.

Her reason?
She has travelled all over Australia and she would really like to get to know just how a Cattle Station works!

Rita’s Details

Rita is 62years old, fit and very healthy, with a positive outlook. She has two children now 28 and 29 yrs old.

Rita has been travelling around Australia for the past two and a half by herself in a Troup Carrier, so she has done most of the Outback tracks, bush camped and cooked on open fires etc.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Rita ran her own very sucessful Kitchen Company for 7 years in Sydney, doing the designing and organising installations, book-keeping and negotiating etc.
• She has business skills ie: Bookeeping and Computer skills
• She can cook for up to 15 people, clean and keep house. Help children with reading writing and arts and crafts.
• She doesn’t mind some hard manual work and would be capable in helping in most areas.
• She doesn’t ride a horse, never driven a tractor but she has ridden a motor bike (years ago) and she does not have much knowledge about cattle stations but is willing to learn.

If she can find some kind of work then all she needs in return is board and keep. She can sleep in the Troupy but a room would be extra specially nice. Any trips “to Town” in her own vehicle she would expect money for fuel.
